As a new year at school begins, I have met and am able to share Evernote with more teachers! This coming week I am presenting a workshop to staff on how they can use Evernote. I will also be working with them to set up their notes so they can make the most out of this wonderful tool. As a result I thought I would share the Prezi I made for this week’s presentation.

Thanks for sharing Bec – my goal this year is to use Evernote successfully for assessment records.

  2. That looks great, Bec – I’m sure you’ll inspire many more teachers to get on board with Evernote!

Hi Bec, When I email an evernote note (??) to my teachers, it comes out in one big block of text, no returns and looks nothing like it does in evernote. Makes it hard to read. Do you use the pro account or the freebie?

    Hi Bec,

What a great job you have done making this Prezi! I thoroughly enjoying viewing it and I will no doubt refer to it again to get some more ideas.

Coincidentally, I was actually playing around with Evernote this afternoon, so this post is very timely for me! I dabbled with it a little last year, but I didn’t stick with it.

I love the idea of having assessment records and checklists stored on Evernote. The amount of paperwork we have as teachers is ridiculous so I’d love to have a more organised system.

Good luck with your presentation next week, I’m sure your staff will get a lot out of it! :)

      Hi Kelly,

I am glad you enjoyed the Prezi! There is so much that you can do with Evernote! I am still finding new ways to use it everyday!

Evernote was a little daunting to me at first but once I started and got into it, I haven’t looked back! Having everything in the one spot is so handy, especially at report writing time. There is no need to cart student books around as everything you need should be documented in Evernote. I can’t stand paper- I am so unorganised when it comes to paperwork and Evernote has changed me! I have everything at the tip of my fingers! I love it.

      Thanks for your comment,

      Bec

    Hi Bec,

You are a marvel! I love your Prezi and am amazed at how much you can do with Evernote. I have only just scratched the surface. It is interesting to see how you have set up your notebooks per student. I have done mine the other way around – per subject area and then a note for each student inside. Thanks for sharing. Sue

      Hi Sue,

I am so glad you enjoyed the Evernote prezi. There are so many uses for Evernote! It’s fantastic! I set up my note books like you last year, but thanks to Stef Galvin I am trying it this way this year. Which I think will make it easier when writing reports.

      Thanks for your comment,

      Bec

  6. Hey Bec,

Once again, a fantastically helpful post for teachers. I’m doing my own workshops for our teachers on Evernote as I’m desperate to get everyone on board. Some are using it well and some are still confused by it. If its ok with you, I’ll be linking staff to the Evernote tutorials on this site as a back-up resource to help them along the way.

    Keep up the great work!

      Hi Louisa,

I am glad you worked it out. This has never happened to me. Maybe you could email from a different device or version when you are at school? May help!

Glad you are finding my stuff helpful!

    Hi Bec
I just watched you prezi presentation (looks great btw) I was wondering how exactly you set up your anecdotal records, with the names on the side and subjects coming up on the screen…is it using tags in a certain way?

    Thanks for your time

  12. missspink says:

    Hi Josh,

    Thanks for your comments.

I set mine up on the computer. I have a notebook for each student set up and then I add notes for each subject or topic. Does that make sense?

    Hi Bec,
Thank you for sharing this Prezi. It has lots of useful information which I will keep referring to.

I like the way you seem to be able to easily store and manage notes, including web links and Twitter feeds.

I will share this with my staff also. Good luck with your presentation.
    Thanks again.
    :)
